Week 2 | I Don’t Want to Waste It

SPARK | WEEK 2

Don’t Waste Your Life

BIG IDEA

Being stuck doesn’t mean you’re finished. You may be confined — but you are not canceled.

KEY TEXT

📖 2 Timothy 1:8–14

POINT 1 — I’M CONFINED

📖 2 Timothy 1:8

“Do not be ashamed… nor of me His prisoner.”

Truth

• Paul doesn’t say a prisoner of Rome

• He says a prisoner of Christ

My circumstances may limit me — but they don’t define me.

Application

        Stop identifying yourself by:

• Your struggle

• Your season

• Your limitations

Start anchoring your identity in who you belong to

Confined ≠ Canceled

POINT 2 — I’M COVERED

📖 2 Timothy 1:9–10

God saved us… according to His purpose and grace…

Truth

• God had a plan before the struggle

• Grace existed before the chains

• Jesus defeated death and secured life

What I’m facing doesn’t get the final word — Jesus does.

Application

• Lift your eyes from the struggle to the Savior

• Trust that grace still covers you — even here

• If you’ve never trusted Christ:

• Believe

• Repent

• Receive the grace He offers

POINT 3 — I’M CALLED

📖 2 Timothy 1:9, 11

“God saved us and called us to a holy calling…”

Truth

Salvation and calling come together.

If you’ve been saved — you’ve been called.

What You’re Called To

1. Belong to Christ (Identity before activity)

2. Live a holy life (Set apart, not perfect)

3. Carry the gospel (With your life, not just your words)

My calling doesn’t pause when life gets hard.

Application

• Stop delaying obedience

• Stop waiting for “later”

• Live called — right where you are

POINT 4 — I’M CAUTIOUS

📖 2 Timothy 1:12–14

“Guard the good deposit entrusted to you.”

Truth

God guards the eternal —

we guard what He’s entrusted to us.

Caution Is Not Fear

• Not afraid — focused

• Not anxious — intentional

• Not retreating — resolved

Application

• Live like what God gave you matters

• Protect your faith, obedience, calling

• Don’t drift. Don’t delay. Don’t waste it.

FINAL RESPONSE

I don’t want to get to the end of my life and say, “I’ve wasted it.”

Prayer:

“God, help me live fully for You — starting now.”
