Serve Weekend is an opportunity for our church family to step outside the walls of the church and into our community with the love of Jesus. Throughout the weekend, we’ll serve our neighbors, build meaningful relationships, share the Gospel, and invite our city to experience the hope found in Christ.
Serve Weekend Kickoff
6:30–8:00 PM | Ashburn
Kick off Serve Weekend with an evening of worship, prayer, dinner, and practical breakout workshops as we prepare our hearts to love our city and share the hope of Jesus.
Garden City Canvassing
9:00–11:30 AM | Bronzeville
Partner with Garden City Church as we walk neighborhoods, meet residents, pray with people, and personally invite our community to upcoming events and the hope found in Christ.
Prayer in the Park
5:00–7:30 PM | Bogan Park
Join us as we grill hot dogs, serve refreshments, play games, build relationships, and create natural opportunities to share the love of Jesus with families in our community.
Hope on the Highway
9:00 AM–10:00 AM | Ashburn
Join us as we serve our community one bottle at a time by handing out cold Gatorades, prayer cards, and invitations to local families, creating simple opportunities to encourage others, pray with those in need, and share the hope of Jesus.
Backpack Drive
11:00 AM–2:00 PM | Bogan Park
In partnership with the Alderman’s Office, we’ll distribute backpacks and school supplies while encouraging families, offering prayer, and connecting them with our church.
Kids END-OF-THE-SUMMER Bash
5:30–7:30 PM | Ashburn
Serve families in an afternoon filled with inflatables, games, food, and giveaways as we engage each child with the Good News of Jesus.
Celebration Sunday
10:00 AM | Ashburn
Celebrate everything God has done throughout Serve Weekend as we worship together, hear stories of life change, and invite our guests to take their next step with Jesus.
Community Block Party
Immediately Following the Service
Stick around after the service for food, games, inflatables, and fellowship as we continue building relationships and celebrating what God has done throughout the weekend.

Whether you can serve at one event or throughout the entire weekend, there’s a place for you to make a difference. Each outreach has a unique purpose, but together we’re working toward one mission: loving our city, serving our neighbors, and sharing the hope of Jesus.
