Caesar’s star was imprinted on coins and spread throughout the empire to announce that a man would become a god. The Gospel reverses that message and with a star proclaims to the whole world that God had become a man. This star set the world on notice, yet it is probably one of the most overlooked elements in one of the most well-known stories. In this message, we look to the star, because the star has a designated purpose: to focus our attention on the person and the priority of Jesus.
